About

The immune system plays a central role in the health and well-being of the horse. The research program of the Immunology group focuses on the characterization of the horse’s immune system. They work in close collaboration with scientists in the Infectious Diseases group on the identification of protective immune responses to various infectious and parasitic diseases. They also collaborate with equine veterinarians, vaccine manufacturers and horse owners on developing better methods to improve equine immune function.
